AS2100
Simultaneously measures the hardness and size of spherical granules (pellets) such as carbon black. By incorporating a Z-axis actuator, it achieves high-precision analysis and high-speed measurement, completing processes in approximately half the time of conventional models. A cost-effective version without a loader, the AS2000-L, is also available.
In the manufacturing process of carbon black, the hardness and size of spherical pellets significantly affect the quality of the final product, including dust generation during transport and dispersibility in rubber or resins. The AS2100 is a Pellet Hardness Tester that simultaneously measures the hardness and pellet size of spherical samples such as carbon black. It reduces the measurement lead time by about half compared to conventional models (approx. 10 to 15 seconds per piece), contributing to significantly faster quality control.
The greatest feature of the AS2100 is its extremely high-precision measurement achieved through the adoption of a Z-axis actuator. It can accurately and simultaneously measure both the pellet size and the hardness, which are critical indicators of granulation characteristics.
The tester supports measurement conditions for JIS K6219-3, ISO 8942, and ASTM D5230 standards, which can be recalled with a single touch from the dedicated software. Additionally, it features a safety device that allows measurement to start only when the cover is attached, ensuring a safe working environment for the operator.
The dedicated software allows you to save and manage two types of data: a pellet size distribution map and individual load curve data (in CSV format). This enables intuitive observation of trends on the PC screen and supports printer output of aggregated data.
